Epirus this is the name given to Albania by the Latins, we call it Arberia(tosk) or Arbenia(gheg).





We started calling ourselves Shqipetare around 14-15 century but this is not a new name by no means, because this is Shqipe(eagle) symbol of Zeus our powerful and generous GOD.

The question is why does Albanian flag have two eagles instead of one. Because Zeus had two eagles, one traveling on the east and the other on the west, symbolizing the extension of Zeus power in both western, eastern cultures

This Roman eagle (Romans was a race-culture not very different from the """Greeks""" & they had the same God/s in their worship ) doesnt not symbolise the mighty Roman Empire but just shows a Jupiter's symbol(Zeus):

This is the reason why we call our land SHQIPERI: the land of Eagle, a symbol-name coming from very ancient times , we just revitalised our ancient name along with ARBERI.

Along with Zeus we always find his symbol the eagle:



putting in the right way the double-eagle which we find today as the double-headed eagle on the Albanian flag. That was the symbol of the Pelasgians. Lycaion son of Pelasgus built a temple dedicated to Zeus, in Arcadia where the Mount Lycaion is located:



Albanians the real Pelasgians descendents never forgot about their beloved God, their ancient symbols and their meanings.
