Greqishte e vjeter nuk eshte Koine, jane dy gjuhe te ndryshme, qe pavaresisht se zevendesuan njera-tjetren, ndryshojne shume pervec leksikut. Greqishtja e re, ngjan me Koine dhe ka ndjekur linjen skolastike te ardhjes deri ne krijimin e shtetit helen. Per greqishten e vjeter, dyshoj shume qe e disponojme dhe fjalet ndryshojne nga te shqipes moderne, por etimologjia e tyre eshte thellesisht shqip.Leka SHQIP wrote:1. Po ka pasur, gjithmone ne qytete, familjet tregaetare, kleri dhe intelektuale te lidhur me administraten dhe tregtine, por gjuha rurale ishte ne pjesen derrmuese shqip dhe ne raste te vecanta sllavisht dhe vllehisht, turqisht, arabisht, dhe romet.2.
