"Moreover, you scorned our people, and compared the Albanese to sheep, and according to your custom think of us with insults. Nor have you shown yourself to have any knowledge of my race. Our elders were Epirotes, where this Pirro came from, whose force could scarcely support the Romans. This Pirro, who Taranto and many other places of Italy held back with armies. I do not have to speak for the Epiroti. They are very much stronger men than your Tarantini, a species of wet men who are born only to fish. If you want to say that Albania is part of Macedonia I would concede that a lot more of our ancestors were nobles who went as far as India under Alexander the Great and defeated all those peoples with incredible difficulty. From those men come these who you called sheep. But the nature of things is not changed. Why do your men run away in the faces of sheep?"
Letter from Skanderbeg to the Prince of Taranto ▬ Skanderbeg, October 31 1460

fustanella ka prapashtesen ella . po ka ne gjyhen shqipe fjale te tjera qe mbarojne me kete prapashtese?
Me sa kam lexuar ka fjale vllahe per sende dhe frymore qe mbarojne me ella.

John Diovunioti Dimalësi or Dimalësioti (1769-1831) was an Arvanit chieftain born in the village of Two Mountains of Iti in Fthiotida, son of Triantafila and Kosta Keshiki. At the age of 13 he saw his father hanged by the Turks, which decisively influenced his course to become a thief and as a teen he joined the armatolik of Andrea Verushi ( father of Odysseus Androutso.)

Before the revolution he was an armatole in Lokrida and was initiated into the Friendly Society. With the outbreak of the Revolution freed Budonitsa on April 13, 1821. After a few years and the ongoing struggle against the Turks, thus forcing them to surrender three other armatoliks, those of Zituni, Salona and Atalanta. In 1820 along with 350 men he attacked Salona, even though his son was held hostage in the hands of Ali Pasha. He freed Amfissa and took part in the battle of Alamana, in which fought the armies of Omer Vrioni but was forced to retreat…

After the tragic death of Dhiako, along with Panurgia and Gura he ambushed the village of Kravasara (now Vasilika) and forced Bajram Pasha to go back to Lamia. He took part in the battles of Arahova, Ambrossia (now Distomo), Ambliani (now Stavropigi) and Shaho (now Petra). He also fought for a period of time next to Karaiskaki. Diovunioti married the daughter of the powerful family Gioldashi giving birth to a son named George. Having partaken in many battles, Dimalesi handed the leadership of the military to his son George who later became general. After the liberation of Greece remained in the army and later became a senator. He died very poor in 1867, at the age of 70.

Nikolaos Kriezotis was born in Vira of Karystia in Evia. It is believed that his surname originates from the arvanite village Krieza in the same area. Kriezoti was a famous fighter of the revolution of 1821 and fought in many other battles against the ottomans. Similar to other Arvanite fighters he was persecuted by the newly formed Greek government for his political alignment. A warrant for his arrest was issued by Kolettis, yet due this tragic persecution he sought asylum in Smyrna, Turkey where he died in 1853 of unknown causes
