Now, from what we know Aphrodite was the analog deity figure of the Roman Venus, the light-bringer, which symbolizing the Morning Star. Aphrodite herself replaced Phosphorus and Eosphorus, morning and evening stars, when let say Greeks noticed they were the same. And here is the twist, in an another language, exactly the Albanian language, exist a very similar term to Aphrodite: Afërdita which is the term the Albanians use, since immemorial times for the Morning Star, Planet Venus with a clear meaning in the very name fully matching her attributes : the dawn . The meaning is given in this etymological dictionary:
Surprisingly even though it has a clear meaning in Albanian, they still consider it to have been derived from the Greek version Afrodite which doesn’t have a reliable explanation for it’s meaning, let alone convincing. This means two things, either the Albanian version of the name matching the “Greek” version is a coincidence or the name itself is of Albanian origin and we give way to much credit to the word “ Greek” definition isolating it as distinct from Albanian. Here is the thing, the Albanians are a paleo-Balcanic people, whose language being natural and colloquial might be behind not only these natural Deity names, but even used to create apparently their religious language, the so called Greek, which has never been an ethnic language in the first place. Even the name Phosphorus, has a very solid etymological explanation in Albanian:
phos(Greek) for light—- deriving from pa(Albanian)- to see
phorus(Greek) for bring(pherein) deriving from Albanian bjerë- brought where the voiceless /p/ has replaced the voiced /b/. Phere-in just a verbalized of participle bier of the original Albanian verb bie(to bring).
Now even we completely disregard the Albanian language on this consideration, there is a very ancient language for which we have undeniable proof that contain the name Aphrodite as a term and a major worshiping figure for their people, Messapian was called:
and we know for certain is not Greek, although written in another hijacked element the so called Greek Alphabet.
We clearly can see there :
APRODITA for APHRODITA
which doesn’t even contain the aspirative /h/ which brought to the phonetic evolution : p—->ph—→f
This means not only Aphrodite is not only a Greek God, but the very name for it hasn’t emerged from the Greek(the way we name Greek ) language and the Greek culture in first place, but a different language and culture, and the phonetic evolution p—->ph——→f suggests that this language coined this term before Greek.
Now here is the thing, this Messapian language and people, used to live in the western part of the Adriatic, and on the eastern part used to live the Epirots, and the Illyrians who are both regarded as the ancestors of Albanians:
and these Messapian are recorded to have settled there, coming exactly from Illyricum a territory including back then Illyria, Epirus and “Greece”(a made up definition) among others geographically.
The fact that this term appears in at least one other ancient language and doesn’t have a convincing meaning explanation in Greek at all, but in another language, gives no right to anyone to call this name and the figure behind it Greek.
I will add another interesting fact about Messapic language, in another inscription we find the term DITA(afro-DITA) used separately:
The term dita( day in Albanian) is unique and is very likely that the old Messappians, were using it separately as a short name for Aphrodite, by calling her simply: the day instead of the day-bringer(light-bringer). And again it’s the Albanian language which explains thru its term evolution the Messapic version of the name: Aprodite
pru—(to bring)- aphru—-> afroj (to bring close)—->afër(close near)
Aprudite= afroj ditën, me pru ditën= to bring the day= light bringer
